Production Process

• Bamboo Selection: The first step is to select high - quality bamboo. Generally, mature bamboo is chosen, as its fiber is more stable and has better toughness. Bamboo that is too young or too old is not suitable, as it may affect the quality of the chopsticks.
• Cutting: The selected bamboo is cut into appropriate lengths according to the size of the chopsticks to be made. This requires precise measurement to ensure that each chopstick is of a uniform length.
• Shaping: The cut bamboo pieces are then shaped. This includes processes such as rounding the edges and tapering the ends to make the chopsticks easy to use. The shaping process is usually done by machines, but in some traditional handicrafts, it may be done by hand to ensure better craftsmanship.
• Polishing: After shaping, the chopsticks are polished to make their surfaces smooth. Polishing can be done in several steps, using different - fineness sandpapers or polishing agents to achieve a high - quality finish.
• Quality Inspection: Finally, a strict quality inspection is carried out. The inspected items include the length, diameter, straightness of the chopsticks, as well as the smoothness of the surface. Only those chopsticks that meet the quality standards can be packaged and put on the market.
